A celebration of life, stories told with genuine care.

It is my belief that saying goodbye to our loved ones is an important part in the grieving process and not to be underestimated.

FUNERAL & MEMORIALS IN LINCOLNSHIRE

As a celebrant, I am able to conduct funeral services and memorials anywhere Lincoln and Lincolnshire apart from churches and the registry office.

It is important to me that you are supported in making a service for your loved one that will be remembered long after the flowers and cards have stopped arriving.

SAY GOODBYE IN YOUR OWN WAY

The service should be written to help you, your family and friends, to say goodbye in your own way.

Your loved one might have already chosen if they want to have a natural burial, a cremation or something else. There is a great deal of choice and nothing is either right or wrong.

Whether you are planning a traditional funeral, a celebration of life, a memorial service, a natural burial, an ashes scattering ceremony or something completely unique, I will work with you to create a personal and meaningful farewell that reflects the life, values and wishes of your loved one.

Together, we can create a ceremony that feels right for your family.

THE CEREMONY

It is important that you recognise the person we talk about and we celebrate their life and all the wonderful memories shared.

It is always a beautiful moment when funny stories are shared and I get to see family photographs like Christmas and holidays. I love these moments of joy.

OUR APPOINTMENT

During our appointment together, we can discuss; Poems, readings, music, songs, memories and anything else that you want to include on the day of the service.

Everyone is different and bringing those memories alive is part of remembering and giving thanks for the life of our loved ones.

FINDING THE RIGHT PLACE TO REMEMBER

If your loved one did not want to go to the crematorium then you can have your ceremony or service in a garden, village hall or local pub.

In Lincoln and Lincolnshire there are many farming families and many families who own a small family run business. There is no reason why a ceremony cannot be held on the family farm or at the local place of business.

With the recent and popular direct cremations, more and more families are choosing to have memorial services and that brings more choice when thinking about a venue.

FINDING OUT MORE

If you would like to find out more about what is possible or have some ideas, please do not hesitate to give me a call. I will be happy to help.

With songs and poems these celebrations don't have to be sad occasions.

BRINGING PEACE & LOVE IS IMPORTANT

It is my job as your celebrant to support and guide you, creating a service that will celebrate your loved ones life and bring peace to everyone who will be there on the day.

Celebrations of life and funeral services don't have to be sad occasions!

They can be joyous and thankful with great songs to listen to, beautiful poems, readings and funny stories to be heard.

If you want to have a ceremony in your garden with a band or a singer, there is nothing to stop you doing that!

Let's chat about your ideas and how I can help!

What to expect

We have talked about the different ways of remembering.

Celebrating the life of a loved one gives you the opportunity to say goodbye in your own way.

You will have the chance to reflect and there may be tears of joy or laughter along the way.

I am here to support you with a safe pair of hands.

AFTER OUR MEETING

After our meeting, I will then go away and write the eulogy giving you time to read it through and make any changes if they are necessary.

ON THE DAY OF THE CEREMONY

I will arrive in good time to welcome you and offer my support, leading you and your family into the ceremony space with dignity and respect.

HOW TO PAY

I prefer to be paid separately from any funeral directors because I am a small business owner.

As a business woman in Lincolnshire, I prefer to pay all my bills and invoices on time and to do that I need the funds in my account.

"Better than a thousand words, is one that gives peace"

Buddha

My own journey to become a celebrant has been driven by my own life experiences.

I have attended many funerals; Aunts and uncles, friends and colleagues including my own parents, who both wanted different things.

It is very common to feel overwhelmed, worried and even stressed because there is a great deal to do. I believe that having a funeral service or memorial helps with your grief and gives you the chance to reflect and remember, saying goodbye with love and compassion.

You can choose your own celebrant and as my client, I want you to feel that you are being supported! I am there to listen and advise you so that everything is in place on the day of the funeral service and there is nothing to worry about.

Today there are so many ways we can incorporate a lighter, more modern way of giving your loved one a send off to remember. Families often choose bright clothing, dedication tea-shirts, yellow ribbons, wonderful flowers, images to watch on screen and memory boards to place by the coffin.

Did you know, you can have a drive past with classic cars or the coffin can arrive on a tractor and trailer! Also coffins do not have to be made of wood and they can be lined with colorful fabrics, there is much more choice than you realise!

Whatever way you choose to remember your loved one, I will guide you through the order of service and be there to offer support on the day.

Please call me if you would like to have a chat.

My Funeral Package

You can choose a traditional setting for the funeral service or celebration of life, or a memorial for your loved one at your home or in a different venue.

There will be either a traditional setting for the funeral service or celebration of life and/or a memorial for your loved one at your home or in a venue chosen by you.

I am also available for green field burial sites and woodland burials, if families wish to choose a sustainable funeral.

As your celebrant, I will write a eulogy that you recognise as your own stories and then give you a chance to read it through and make any changes if they are necessary.

I can also assist you with your choice of poems, songs, hymns, prayers or tributes and I will discuss the time required at a crematorium and the systems in place to support each family.

On the day of the funeral service, I will be there to meet you and introduce you to anyone that you might not have met, that might be the funeral director, on duty, or the owner/administrator of the natural burial site.

After the funeral service I will be available until you decide you are ready to leave. If I have another appointment, I will say goodbye before I depart.
