How celebrants network & build partnerships by Kerry Stamp

Being a celebrant

As a professional celebrant, my work is rooted in personality, empathy, and ceremony expertise. But the success of any celebration, whether a wedding, funeral, or milestone event, goes far beyond one person. It’s a team effort.

Collaboration

I feel very fortunate to collaborate with so many talented professionals across the industry: wedding planners, event managers, photographers, cake makers, catering teams, hotel and venue managers, and funeral directors. Together, we shape the experience for families and guests, and when the teamwork is strong, the results can be truly transformative.

Teamwork matters

Networking has never been just about “making contacts” for me. It’s about building genuine, meaningful relationships, connections where trust and mutual respect run deep. My approach has always been to remain warm, approachable, and professional, while also investing in my own growth.

Further celebrant training

This year I’ve taken part in many training courses and workshops to strengthen both my ceremony skills and my understanding of running a business. The more I learn, the more I can bring to my clients and to the professionals I work alongside.

A celebrant who works closely with venues and planners

At every event, I strive to bring reliability, emotional support, and a calm, joined-up approach. My aim is to make families and couples feel safe, supported, and celebrated knowing they are in the hands of someone who is wise, warm, and genuinely present for them.

Celebrant love

I also truly enjoy being part of a team. Whether it’s a wedding planner orchestrating the flow of the day, a photographer capturing fleeting moments, or venue staff ensuring everything runs smoothly, I love working shoulder-to-shoulder with others who care as deeply about their role as I do.
